In 1994 Don Doolan and Ken Munro left a large Calgary homebuilder to start up their own company based on the fundamental belief that building a quality home should be the top priority.

Since that time, Talisman Homes has focused on creating functional, well-built homes with a modern flavour. We have made a conscious decision to remain a small-sized builder in order to keep the focus exactly where it belongs: on the customer.

With more than 35 years in the Construction industry, in both commercial and residential, President Don Doolan's wide range of construction knowledge rivals anyone in the business in Canada. He serves as the representative for the Calgary Region Home Builders Association on the Alberta Housing Industry Technical Committee and is also the Alberta Representative to the Canadian Home Builders Association. He is presently chairing the Technical Research and Publications Committee for the Canadian Home Builders Association. Don is also a Level 1 Moisture Control Technician (Certified Moisture Smart Builder) and holds the respected Master Builder designation.

Ken Munro, B. Comm., CMA is the company's Secretary Treasurer and has been involved in the Construction industry for over 29 years, holding senior financial positions in both the land development and new home construction fields. He is currently working towards his Master Builder designation.
