In 1994 Don Doolan and Ken Munro left a large Calgary homebuilder to start up their own company based on the fundamental belief that building a quality home should be the top priority.

Since that time, Talisman Homes has focused on creating functional, well-built homes with a modern flavour. We have made a conscious decision to remain a small-sized builder in order to keep the focus exactly where it belongs: on the customer.

With more than 40 years in the Construction industry, in both commercial and residential, President Don Doolan's wide range of construction knowledge rivals anyone in the business in Canada. He is the Executive Vice-President of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association and on the Board of Directors for the Calgary chapter of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association. He is the Chair of the Technical Research Committee for both the Calgary and Alberta chapters of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association.
In addition he is the former Standing Committee Chair of the Canadian Home Builders Technical & Research Committee.
Mr. Doolan holds the respected Master Builder designation and is a Level One Moisture Control Technician (Certified Moisture Smart Builder).
He has also earned the following awards:

Ken Munro, B. Comm., CMA is the company's Secretary Treasurer and has been involved in the Construction industry for nearly 35 years, holding senior financial positions in both the land development and new home construction fields. He is currently working towards his Master Builder designation.
